The checklist below reflects those standards, along with additional best practices that Welcome Home holds itself to — because we believe a great inspection goes beyond the minimum.

List of inspection items:

• Site conditions: driveways, walkways, steps and handrails, grade and drainage, retaining walls, vegetation

• Exterior: wall covering, eaves, windows, doors, decks, porches

• Roofing: roof covering, flashings, drainage system

• Structural: attics, exposed structural members and framing, foundations, sump pumps, crawlspaces, chimneys

• Plumbing: water heating, water supply lines, waste lines, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers

• Electrical: service entrance, panels, wiring methods, receptacles, switches, fixtures

• Heating and Air Conditioning: heating equipment, cooling equipment

• Insulation and Ventilation: foundation and attic vapor barriers, insulation, venting, and local exhaust vents

• Garage: vehicle door, fire barriers

• Interiors: walls, ceilings, floors, stairs, railings, windows, doors, cabinets, counters, fireplaces

• Built in kitchen appliances: range/stove, dishwashing machine, food waste disposal, microwave
